NEWS: C-N-N Talk Comeback Album, Nore’s Weight Loss

After not putting out any material together for close to nine years, Queens duo Capone-N-Noreaga are reuniting once again for their upcoming album Channel 10. XXLmag.com recently caught up with the group to talk about why they decided to put out another project and how Nore has become the poster child for losing weight.

Not since 2000’s The Reunion have fans been able to hear C-N-N rap side by side on a full-length CD. When asked why they decided to regroup after all these years both rappers said it had to do with the quality of their music.

“There is a drought with good music,” N.O.R.E. told XXL. “One thing people can’t take away from me and Pone is that we get together and we make fantastic albums.” “We both got our second wind again,” Capone added. “We feel like the music we made right now tops our past music because we did everything together.”

Unlike their past efforts, Pone said this was the first time they were able to work on every track collectively without any legal interruptions. “We did every record together,” he said. “We lived in the studio, I smelt his feet for like four days. I didn’t go to jail on this one.”

In addition to their new disc, Nore has been flooding the net with videos documenting his quest to lose weight through his blog 57thave.com. So far the rapper has shed over 60 pounds and subsequently has become a motivational figure for the obese.

“The biggest thing about 57thave.com is it’s actually real fat people following me because I lost 62 pounds,” he revealed. “And when I say fat I say it with the utmost respect because I will also be a fat person. I will always think like a fat person. I will eat a whole pizza pie, because it’s just like being a crackhead. If you stop being a crackhead you will forever think like a crackhead. We get hits from fat people asking how to lose weight. “

C-N-N will be embarking on an overseas tour starting on January 23 in Zurich, Switzerland. Their new album Channel 10 is set to hit stores on the first week of April via SMC.
