Freesouls have 4 DJs, and 2 MCs at Urban Universe.
DJ Dimaz (Equinox residents) would open the night, which starts @ 10 PM.
He would play the chill, downtempo, hiphop & RnB, that is hot enough that could make people start gather to dancefloors.

DJ Flame and MC Side will break the party, for an introduction of Urban Universe.
We gonna have a lilttle brief what's Urban Universe all about to the crowd.
then DJ Flame and MC Side would kick in with the club anthems mostly from Universal Music Collections.
In this session, DJ Flame would also play the back catalogues from Mary J Blige and Janet Jackson.

DJ Radd still with MC Side will continue the set,
with more variety choice of songs still mostly from Universal Music catalogues.
In the middle of this set, we would break it.
All of sudden we turn down the lights (with the minimal light Equinox could go) add some good amount of smoke.
And MC Side would announce THE PREMIERE OF JANET JACKSON'S "FEEDBACK" and MARY J BLIGE'S "JUST FINE" back to back.

DJ Schizo and Captain JD would be on the stage afterwards,
with uptempo set of songs, which contains FEEDBACK and JUST FINE also (or the remix version)

Itu adalah reaksi Arief mantan personel TOFU ketika mendengar kabar Pandji Pragiwaksono sedang membuat album rap.



Pandji Pragiwaksono, yang lebih dikenal sebagai seorang penyiar prime time Good Morning Hardrockers di Hard Rock FM Jakarta, sebagai MC, sebagai presenter di sejumlah program TV seperti "Hole In The Wall RCTI", atau "Kena Deh", dan entrepreneur dengan clothing line miliknya REF Basketball Clothing, kini meluncurkan album rap pertamanya yang berjudul : "PROVOCATIVE PROACTIVE".



Provocative Proactive menurut Pandji adalah sebuah paradigma baru. Sebuah pemikiran baru. Bahkan sebuah gaya hidup baru. Provocative Proactive adalah sebuah ajakan untuk mau aktif memprovokasi diri. Di album ini Pandji berusaha untuk membuktikan bahwa rap bukan hanya untuk ABG. Hadirnya Tompi dan Angga terutama akan membawa persepsi pasar kepada satu segmentasi tertentu yaitu segmentasi dewasa muda yang juga merupakan pasar Tompi dan Angga dari Maliq & D'Essentials.



Album ini juga merupakan cara Pandji untuk mensosialisasikan sebuah yayasan dimana Pandji menjadi pembinanya. Yayasan Pita Kuning Anak Indonesia (YPKAI) yang juga dikenal sebagai C3. Community for Children with Cancer. Disini Pandji menyumbangkan 50% keuntungan penjualan setiap keping CD kepada C3 dimana dananya akan digunakan untuk biaya pengobatan dan psiko terapi anak anak penderita kanker.

Lenny Kravitz: 'IT IS TIME FOR A LOVE REVOLUTION' Unik Dan Menarik

Lenny Kravitz kembali lagi untuk meluncurkan album barunya. Kravitz bertahan dengan meluncurkan tipikal irama dari album-album sebelumnya. MEET THE SPARTANS merupakan parodi dari film terkenal 300 yang mengisahkan kepahlawanan prajurit Spartan. Film ini disutradarai oleh Jason Friedberg dan Aaron Seltzer yang sebelumnya juga membuat parodi film-film horor dan parodi film-film drama romantis lewat SCARY MOVIE dan DATE MOVIE.

Layaknya film parodi, MEET THE SPARTANS menggabungkan beberapa adegan, karakter, dan cerita dari sejumlah film terkenal dan dibuat lelucon dan plesetan. Tak terkecuali film ini yang menceritakan seorang Ksatria Leonidas (Sean Maguire), yang hanya bersenjatakan pakaian dari kulit. Perselisihan terjadi dengan kerajaan Persia yang menginginkan Spartan tunduk di bawah Persia.

Leonidas berusaha keras mempertahankan dan melindungi tanahnya dari kaum Persia. Dibantu oleh Kapten (Kevin Sorbo), Leonidas merekrut tentara Spartan. Sayang pasukan Spartan yang diharapkan berjumlah 300 ternyata hanya 13 orang saja. Namun dengan tekad dan segala kekonyolan, Leonidas memimpin 13 prajurit Spartan untuk melindungi tanah mereka melawan kaum Persia.

Kalau menonton film ini yang terpenting adalah relaks dan nikmati saja parodi yang dihadirkan. Jangan berpikir lucu atau tidak. Haram hukumnya berpikir masuk akal atau tidak. Pokoknya nikmati saja, dan tertawakan ketika kelucuan dihadirkan.

T.I. Is Ready To Kick Hip-Hop 'Back In Gear' With Paper Trail

T.I. says he doesn't know when his Paper Trail LP will be released this year, but it was clear when he talked to us on Wednesday (February 12) that his competitive itch is coming out, though he's still on house arrest while awaiting trial on gun-possession charges.

"It's a lot of bullsh-- out right now," he told MTV News via phone from Atlanta. "I'm not gonna front. I feel it's definitely about time for somebody to come back out and kick this thing back in gear. The rotation is suffering right now. I intend to do something about it. It's just a matter of when."

In December, Tip sent a video message to his fans via his social-networking site, StreetCred.com, saying that he was 30 percent done with the album. He's obviously been putting in work since then.

"Everything's perfect, everything's perfect," Young Dro, T.I.'s childhood friend and Grand Hustle Records artist, insisted Sunday on the Grammy red carpet. "His mind's state is Paper Trail. Since he's been home, he's recorded like 50 songs. Plus, he's writing [rhymes on paper] now, so y'all in trouble."

One record that is a lock to make the album is "Let My Beat Pound."

"That's gonna be a big record," Tip said. "It's a different record. It's a record I approached differently, and it don't sound like a typical T.I. record. It's basically about when you got your first car, one of the first things was to make sure your [sound] system was right. The love for the boomin' system. It has the sentiments of LL Cool J's 'Boomin' System,' but it kind of sounds like a Sir Mix-A-Lot [song]. It's kinda got the mood and tempo of 'Posse on Broadway,' but it's outta here."

T.I. said it's doubtful that "Let My Beat Pound" will be the album's first single, but it will definitely have a presence. "It'll probably serve the same purpose as 'Top Back' did on King."

Tip promised to give the fans a couple of singles when promotion for Paper Trail begins. "Yeah, I'm definitely gonna make sure you have enough, man," he said. "Nowadays, with the age of the computers, you gotta make sure people have more than one song, so they won't download your single then look away to somewhere else."

When he's not concentrating on music, Tip is spending time in his home theater. The DVD release of his last film, "American Gangster," is February 19. He said he was surprised that the drama was denied Oscar nominations for Best Picture and Best Actor for Denzel Washington, but he does relish the fact the movie went over so well with the fans.

"It's one of those movies that develop a cult following," he said. "Especially being a true story and having such phenomenal talent involved like Ridley Scott, Russell Crowe, Denzel, Cuba Gooding Jr., Idris Elba. It's got so many talented actors that ... [we] in the hip-hop culture saw ourselves represented. Even though it was in a different era, we were represented. It was flattering to me to see such a high-profile movie be dedicated to the Harlem era."

ALBUM BARU SNOOP DOGG *EGO TRPPIN* AKAN RILIS BULAN (MARET)

Ego Trippin' comes out next month, and indeed, Beckham's friend's summation that it will be a gem in Snoop's legendary catalog didn't seem off. The Long Beach, California, rapper turned the album in to his record label Friday and still couldn't get enough of it that night. He gave it one more spin as his friends DJ Quik and Teddy Riley arrived.

"We're known as QDT," Snoop later told MTV News, sitting next to Quik and Teddy. "Compton's finest, if you ask me. ... We've always played for the same team, we just never wore the same uniform.

"Before I was making records, I was buying [Riley's] records," Snoop said. "I was inspired by the whole movement that he had with the New Jack Swing and the R&B records from Al B.Sure, and Keith Sweat ... He's a guy that you sit back and wait for his records to come out, so you can see what you're going to do next."

The three legends have officially forged a musical friendship, kinship and business partnership. QDT want to work together the way Timbaland and Justin Timberlake make albums together and have gone to write, produce and cameo on records for other artists.

Their first project is Ego Trippin'. It started out simply enough: Snoop called in DJ Quik — who has some of the best ears in the business — to mix for the album's early recording sessions. Meanwhile, Riley — who'd been on a year-long sabbatical — met Dogg at the VH1 Hip Hop Honors, where Snoop asked Riley for some beats. He went home and started making a myriad of tracks. Snoop loved the three he heard, and everything blossomed from there.

Riley was given the task of coming up with Ego Trippin's second single, a follow-up to the monster track "Sensual Seduction."

"We redid Morris Day and the Time's 'Cool,' " Snoop said with a smile. "People are gonna trip when they hear how I'm singing on there. Teddy had me sing the whole thing by myself."

"Coooool. Ain't nobody bad like me," Doggy sings on the track. "I got diamonds on my fingers and a couple on my toes. ... I'm just cool. So cool. Ain't nobody bad like me."

Elsewhere, on what will probably be another single, tentatively titled "I'm Alright," the vocal duties are shifted to Raphael Saadiq. (It seems Snoop went back on last year's promise that he'd have no guests on this album.)

"I'm alright, I'm alright, we allllright./ ... Waste of time, go your way, and I'll go mine." The record is about Snoop 86ing a girl.

In the studio, Dogg started dancing, rhyming and sliding on the floor to the sounds of his own music. Don Juan got up and joined in with his own moves. Out of nowhere, Ray J popped up. But that's far from random: Snoop has more famous friends than a dog has fleas, and everybody's welcome to join him.

They just might serve as a muse to one of his rhymes.

"Me and Leonardo DiCaprio," he raps on a song called "Hollywood Nights." "He keep a bad ho. I keep a bad ho."

Pharrell Williams and Too Short also contribute to the LP. This time around, not only did Snoop get people like Shawty Red to write his song lyrics, he brought in a team of aspiring MCs to pen his rap lyrics too.

"I'm into giving people chances," he explained. "They wrote what they thought Snoop Dogg should be saying. It turned out wonderful."

Maybe he should have named the project I'm Not Ego Trippin'.

NEWS.. Dr. Dre Seeks Royalty Information from Death Row

Dr. Dre filed papers in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Los Angeles on Tuesday (February 5) requesting permission to obtain documents from Death Row Records that will help him determine the amount of unpaid royalties that the company owes him. According to the Associated Press, the producer wants to place a dollar amount on royalties that have accrued since Death Row filed for bankruptcy in 2006. The documents include contracts between himself and the label, revenue from the sale of his recordings and agreements to release his recordings as part of compilation albums. Dre has already sued Suge Knight’s old label several times for unpaid royalties from his 1992 album The Chronic. In 1996 Dre gave up his 50% stake in the label but retained the right to receive royalties. According to him, he has not received those royalties, even after Death Row licensed his music to another company for distribution. Death Row has been under the control of a court appointed trustee since July of 2006. Warner Music Group recently made a $25 million bid for the label’s catalog, which includes The Chronic and several other Dre productions. The request filed by Dre this week asks that Death Row make the documentation available by February 29 and its representatives be available for a deposition on March 7.

According to industry gossip and a recent post on clothing retailer Dr. Jay’s website, 50 Cent’s G-Unit Clothing may be just days away from shutting down their offices. Since being founded in 2004, G-Unit has operated through a joint venture with Ecko, who manufactured the company’s product. Rumor has it that that deal has run its course, and the two companies will now be going their separate ways, as exhibited by the recent firing of high-level design and marketing employees. Friday is expected to be their last official day of business operations. It’s not yet clear if 50 will be taking the G-Unit brand to a new partner, striking out on his own or shutting down his clothing enterprise all together.
